Some Music by James Blake
I saw James Blake at the Pheonix last Friday which was an incredible show and a great experience. It was also kind of amusing as everyone wanted to dance but didn't know how to accord their bodies with the music. My friend Rosa described it as 'sleepy dance' (which to me sounds like a trance). But there were some interesting moments of synchronicity, particularly when he played an extended version of his track CMYK the transition in the crowd was pretty noticeable:

James Blake
If you haven't listened to James Blake before, you should do so. Start with this and this (great videos as well). He's a 23 year old UK musician and DJ (here's his set list from his BBC Radio 1 broadcast) who definitely seems to know what is going on. Look out for his upcoming EP, Enough Thunder (album art) coming out on October 10th of this year which will be featuring the track below, 'Fall Creek Boys Choir' with Bon Iver. *Update (Oct 8) - check out my latest post on James Blake where you can stream his new EP.

Bon Iver
I like both James Blake and Bon Iver independently, but together, wow. They certainly share an aesthetic and are both very original, talented and masterful artists. If you haven't listened to Bon Iver before, you should do so. Start with this and this.
